If you’ve followed DNA Genotek for a while, you’ve probably seen some of our famous t-shirts that are handed out at the American Socieity for Human Genetics (ASHG) meeting each year and you may even be lucky enough to have one. Some of our personal favorites are ‘Spit Happens’ and ‘The Oragene of Species’. With ASHG 2012 coming up in November, it’s time to roll up our sleeves and get to work on the design for this year’s shirts. This time around, however, we’re going to change things up a little and bring you on board as part of our new design team.
We’ve come up with three designs that we think are pretty awesome, but we’re going to put it to a vote to decide which t-shirt we should give away at ASHG this year. We’ve posted our three designs below, so pick your favorite and let us know on our Facebook page or by tweeting @dnagenotek on Twitter. If you’re not really into the social media scene, we understand. You can, instead, fill out this form and we’ll make sure to include your vote!
While we’re pretty proud of these designs, we also love to hear your ideas for great t-shirt slogans on our Facebook page or @dnagenotek on Twitter. If we decide to create a t-shirt design from your slogan, we’ll send you a $50 iTunes card so you can rock out while looking great in your awesome t-shirt.
The voting is open until September 28th, 2012 at 2:00 PM ET, but why not vote now so that you don’t have to worry about it anymore? Once we’ve tallied the votes, we’ll print the shirts and bring them to our booth ASHG in San Francisco. We can only print a limited run, however, so come see us bright and early at our booth on Tuesday, November 6 to have the best shot at getting a shirt.
We can’t wait to see how the vote turns out, and we’re looking forward to hearing all of your great suggestions. Head on over right now to Facebook, or Twitter and let us know which design you’d like to see on our shirts this year.
Not into the social media scene? You can also vote here. We can hardly wait to see the results of the voting. See you at ASHG!
