Before we tell you why we decided to start this blog, let’s take a look at how we got involved the TB field.
You might be wondering why we are starting a blog focusing on TB and infectious diseases?! Our conversations with so many of you over these past months have educated us further about the challenges associated with improving diagnosis, treatment and care for those infected, and also the need for improved tools and support for those who tirelessly work to improve the outcome for the millions of people impacted by infectious diseases around the world.
While we believe that our products will help ensure that better quality samples reach the lab, and this is critical for empowering laboratories to generate better results and allows doctors to provide faster and more appropriate care to patients with TB, we want to go beyond that. Our team hopes to strengthen the global TB community by providing a forum and a voice for critical discussions surrounding new breakthroughs in TB diagnostics. We went to tell patients’ stories to keep the world engaged in our collective fight and hard discussions about challenges the TB community faces in trying to bring an end to this disease. We want to make a difference. We want to help push the voice of TB to the forefront of people’s minds and actions. We want to help more people join the fight against TB!
